Taffy's Ongoing Battle Against Bone Cancer...

Taffy Scheduled for Surgery...

Taffy is scheduled for surgery in the morning, he had to stay the night at the vets as they weren't able to get to his surgery today & will do the surgery 1st thing in the morning to remove a large portion of his tumor. He is also on an IV of chemo drugs...we are at war with his bone cancer.

Bernese Mountain Dog Painting in OIL & Update on Taffy

Just finished this Bernese Mountain Dog painting which will be available in my store on etsy or if you are interested in purchasing it feel free to contact me! Taffy is still in his fight against bone cancer...it's been pretty rough this past week, he doesn't want to eat much and the tumor has gone thru his cheekbone and into his mouth. Meds have been difficult to get in at times, so much so that when he does not want to take them by mouth we have to give them the other way...I know, not pretty but if it means saving his life, well you just do it. Still Holding Our Breath...

The blood work came back with not so great news...Pepper has a kidney infection & her kidneys are only functioning at 25%. We were prepared to say goodbye, but the vet wants to try & clear up the infection and then see if using medications & a special diet will give Pepper some more time with us. Time will tell...we are cautiously optimistic as she has started to eat a little bit after not eating for several days, but we will just have to wait & see. Fingers, toes, & paws crossed that this is not 'that time'...we just aren't ready to let go. Thank you to everyone for your warm thoughts & prayers!
