Prayers Needed for Our Jedha...

For the next few weeks I will not be able to donate 10% of each painting to dog rescue, as we need to have some lumps checked out on our dog, Jedha, at a cancer specialist and need to save up the money to do this. If you are looking at having a portrait of your pet done, please consider scheduling it soon as it will help us pay for the examination, and if need be, any procedures they may need to do (fingers & paws crossed they will not). In the meantime, please keep our precious Jedha in your prayers that these lumps are not cancer. I just cannot imagine losing him. He is by far the most gentle, loving wonderful bundle of fur I have ever known. He helped me get thru my homesickness when I lived in Australia, and he is my little buddy here at home in Michigan.

  2. Thank you! We've been hoping these are just fatty lumps or tumors, but one is really getting big and there seems to be more like 4-5 now :o(...we just can't put this off any longer. Our vet recommended a cancer specialist, no idea the cost, but I'm hoping I will continue to pick up some more Christmas commissions and sell enough paintings that we can at least get him checked out and go from there...Jedha is truly one in a million :)

  3. I'm so sorry you going through this and I pray that Jedha's lumps are non-cancerous. Have faith and trust in HIM and do post on Jedha's progress.

Warm regards and do take care of yourself too

  4. Prayers already given! If you're in SE MI, Dr. Obradovich is the best! She treated many of mine and is well recognized throughout the country as a leading oncologist. Make sure they take wide margins when any removals are done. Good luck!

  5. Prayers for Jedha!
Our retriever mix had those fatty "deposits" as she got older (and some got to be quite big). But they never seemed to bother her. Our regular vet felt able to diagnose them, and never even saw the need for a biopsy.

  6. Thank you so much, Jeannie I am in SE MI so I will look up this doctor and see if we are close to them....alex, the vets we have seen did think they were just fatty tumors or deposits, but a vet tech there felt we should have them checked out by someone who sees cancer everyday...I want to believe they are just fat but this has me worried being that Jedha is not that old, only 6-7 and there seems to be more lumps, and the one on his stomach seems to be growing :o(...I had a Golden die of cancer at only 5, so I am really stressed about this, but trying to stay positive.

  7. Have they done needle aspirations? If not you need them. They're cheap and quick and will give you a better picture. No reason your vet can't do them and if you go to a specialist this would be their first test. I live across the street from Bridget Espinosa - if you want to talk about it, get my number from her (don't want to post it!). I've been through cancer with ten dogs - have some great holistic experience with it too.

  9. We didn't have our current vet do the aspirations because one of their vet techs said if it were her dog, she would want someone who looks at cancer on a daily basis to do it, and she recommended this very clinic, so even though it may cost more I think I would rather go with this clinic. Jedha means so much to me, he's my baby boy :)I'll have Bridget give me your number in case it turns out to be cancer, but I'm hoping it isn't for sure! Thanks so much!:)
