Not a Day Goes By. . .

So hard to believe it has been nearly 3 months since we lost our precious boy after an 8 month battle against bone cancer...not a day goes by that our hearts do not ache for you Taff...we miss you so much & will never forget you. How we wish that bump on your cheek a year ago had been just a bump.

Remembering Our Taffy...

As the leaves continue to fall it is hard to believe that it has been over 2 months now since we lost our precious Taffy after an 8 month battle against bone cancer. He loved playing in the piles of leaves, especially those that will soon line our streets. Not a day goes by that we don't think of you Taff...you will always be in our hearts.

Oh How I Treasure Photos. . .

Taffy would sit outside my window in Sydney until I let him inside…I think after starting out his life either chained to a block or wandering the streets, all he wanted to do was be with you, right by your side.

We Miss You Everyday Taff. . .

I've been teary the past couple of days as the trees start to change color...we will miss Taffy trudging thru the leaves that will soon line our streets.
There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of you Taff...we love you SO much & miss you more than you can imagine. The only thing that helps remotely, is knowing we will see you again one day in Heaven. Until then, have fun up there & we will try our best to have only smiles when we think of you.

Close to Home...Forever in Our Hearts

(*print available to help pay off
our remaining bill for
Taffy's medical expenses
incurred while fighting his cancer)

Beyond heartbroken as we lost Taffy this Wednesday...his body just could not take the chemo and the bone cancer had spread into his mouth. We brought him home & buried him at the back of my parent's property by the woods he loved so much...they are only 3 doors down from us. So thankful we are nearby & can even see his grave from our back door. Not sure how we will get thru this as the grief at times is more than we can bear, but it helps to know he is out of pain & running free in Heaven where we will be reunited someday. Thank you all for your prayers, kind words, & support...it has made all the difference! God bless you!

Devastating News...

(Jedha giving kisses to Taffy as he underwent chemo)

Went to the vet today & Taffy's tumor has grown & is now inside his mouth as well as his face. He was given a super strong chemo drug today & we will know this week if it works. If it does he will have 6 treatments in hopes that it saves his life...this is his last chance. Please pray for God's mercy. I haven't prayed harder for anything in my entire life.

God's mercy & compassion...

Yay! The cancer has not spread to Taffy's legs or lungs :)) He has a bit of arthritis in his back, but we are going to be sure to keep walking him & he has pain meds he takes already...he will be starting back on oral Neoplasene & we are going to try & leave the cone collar off this week & see how he goes. Thank you God for your mercy & compassion towards all creatures great & small...for giving Taffy a fighting chance at life...most dogs would not survive this aggressive cancer & yet you are sparing his life to show others who may not believe, that miracles can & DO happen! Taffy is living proof! ♥ :D

What a Difference 24 hours Makes!!

So apparently Taffy hasn't been in agony but suffering side effects from the morphine...we switched to a pain patch last night & today he jumped on the couch when my sister dropped off dinner & barked out the window!! He hasn't done that in a couple months! And then he went running outside after dinner, barking at the dog next door that he hates!! I am still in total shock! It's as if he has no clue he has cancer! Thank you God for your mercy & love towards all creatures great & small! :))...also, for a limited time I am offering 5x7 oil paintings on canvas panel for $65 to help with Taffy's cancer treatments. If you or someone you know is interested in having a pet portrait done feel free to contact me!

A Trip to the ER :(

(**For a limited time I am offering 5"x7" portraits on canvas panel for $50...we are hoping to get a Special Pain Patch for Taffy today as it looks like we have to return to the ER... My paypal is: Loveall4Him@aol.com just put "Portrait for Taffy" in the subject line, or email me for my address by check. Thank you!)

Had to take Taffy into the ER last night for pain...he has a large opening in his cheek now...I won't lie, it's awful...we are hoping to get in touch with our doctor soon, but so far no luck. If he continues to not respond to his new pain meds today we will have no choice but to have to return to the ER today. Please keep Taffy in your prayers! May God have mercy on Taffy...he's been thru so much in his battle against this dreadful disease! Also, if you or someone you know is interested in having a pet portrait done, feel free to contact me and/or visit my website: Studio Lara.com...the funds will help us with Taffy's ongoing cancer treatments. He's home...

Taffy had surgery yesterday to remove most of the tumor...there is just a bit above his eye...looks awful, but much of it was removed & he will be able to see out of his eye. He needs to heal up this week & then we fight like hell next week to kill the remaining cancer. Thank you for your continued thoughts & prayers. We love our boy so much.

Just finished the Westie portrait I've been working on, although I need to get a better photo tomorrow once the sun appears...Taffy is still battling bone cancer...we go back to the Oncologist this Wednesday...trying not to be discouraged, but we just want to start seeing the tumor shrink & so far it hasn't much.

Still Fighting...

Back from Oncologist...she removed the center of the tumor,

drained some of it, & gave another injection of

Neoplasene...Taffy is resting quietly, still under anesthesia,

while the tumor continues to drain. He's a fighter. ♥

Fighting Cancer Isn't Pretty. . .

The top two are Taffy, the bottom is Jedha who had a cancerous pimple & was also injected with Neoplasene....the cancer cells died & fell off last night! Now it will heal & close up & eventually the same will happen with Taffy. Thank you for your continued prayers!

Destroying the Tumor & Saving Taffy's Life...

We went to the Oncologist today & they injected the bone with Neoplasene and the tumor some more...it ruptured this afternoon which is good! It will continue to drain & eventually fall off & only leave healthy tissue behind. Praying his eye will be ok...but praying more that his life will be saved! God, we need a miracle.
